Many Are The Wonders

Friday, November 28th, 2008

"Many, LORD my God,        are the wonders you have done,        the things you planned for us.        None can compare with you;        were I to speak and tell of your deeds,        they would be too many to declare."
Psalm 40:5

I cannot think of anything more profound, heartbreaking and ultimately beautiful to [...]

May your Thanksgiving be filled with great food,
fun conversation and the joy of knowing we have a Love that endures forever.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love [...]

Towel Treasures

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Exhausted after our nine-hour drive, my sister grabbed a fresh towel and headed for the shower.  We had a lot to do that night, seeing as how our parents had rented a vacation home right on the banks of a beautiful river for an entire week.
Vacation fun was to be had.
While she freshened up, [...]

I am over at The Internet Cafe today — because of you, my lovely ladies, and your response to my post "Wild Savior" from a few weeks ago, I asked to post it at the Cafe as well.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I want to thank you so much for encouraging my crazy thoughts and [...]

Over at Scraps In Bloom (one of my favorite crafty blogs! Seriously, Krista is craft-gifted. You won't believe the awesome things she makes!) I read about this challenge to pass on a little handmande love by playing "Paying It Forward."

A Quick Break From Cleaning

Monday, November 24th, 2008

I've been cleaning ALL day and needed a quick break. So, I took this fun little quiz to get into the Turkey spirit for the week.

What Part of Thanksgiving Are You?

You Are The Cranberry Sauce

A little sweet, a little sour – you've got the flava!
Though, you do tend to squish in people's mouths…

What Part [...]

City of Angels

Monday, November 24th, 2008

A few months ago I found myself walking on the streets of Hollywood.
Famous streets.
 Streets where “dreams” are made.
Yet in the pit of my stomach I had the worst feeling; to tell you the truth, I couldn’t wait to get off of those streets.
Driving home I thought of all the young girls who long for fame [...]

Imagine.

To get caught up on For Them, a weekly focus on the persecuted Church, please read the first post over at my old blog Exemplify here.
Because I feel Friday's are a busy day for everyone, I've chosen to switch my weekly posts on this topic to Sunday. Hopefully, a calmer day will allow for us to [...]

Holly, Jolly

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Well, we put our Christmas tree up tonight. We didn't fully decorate it yet as we are waiting for Thanksgiving but the tree and all of its lights are shining brightly.
Obviously, the next logical step was to decorate the blog.
Hope you like it.
P.S. Critty Joy changed her header tonight, too!
